Al Abbas Qur'an Academy
The Lady Fizza Qur’an Competition department are very excited to launch the Al Abbas Qur’an Academy for children. The aim of the Academy is to improve the standard of Qur’an recitation in our community in a very structured and professional manner.
The aim of the academy:
- Improve the standard of Quran recitation
- Increase understanding of Quranic pronunciation, tajweed rules, increase fluency etc.
- Bring the standard of recitation on a par with other communities
We are very fortunate to have trained teachers to deliver these weekly classes that will focus on all aspects of recitation.
How will we achieve this?
- Create a child centric environment
- Children will be pre-assessed and put into ability groups. Initially the academy will only accept students who have already mastered a basic fluency in recitation.
- Children will be given regular assessments to ensure improvement and progression
- Teachers with a high level of Quranic recitation ability
- Experience in teaching
- Teachers who will continue to undergo training provided by the academy
- Small classes with approximately 5-7 children
When, Where and Fees?
This will take place on a Monday night 7:00-8:00pm in the Zainabiya Building. Depending on the number of weeks in a term, the fees would be between £40 – £50 per student. If there is a financial difficulty in the affordability of the fees, please contact the Birmingham Jamaat KSIMC or any of the team members.
